Africa

Image2Planet X-Africa is a global expedition presented from a uniquely African perspective. It explores the world of extreme and alternative action sports from both a local as well as international perspective. The viewer is engaged and encouraged to become a part of the journey helping direct and shape its course and contribute meaningfully to the final broadcasted product.

The journey will cover the sports history, lifestyle, culture and music that propel it; where Africa and South Africa fits into the big picture, always putting the content into context. The program will continually explore how this genre of sport is likely to evolve, the multitude of career paths available within it and how the viewers can have a vital role in its development, both locally and globally.

Each episode has a distinct theme, strategic focus and is ideally designed to be broadcast in sequential order, specifically targeting the local youth market. The goal is to create compelling and purposeful programming and to be completely current and relevant to the local/SA extreme and alternative sports market.

The Planet X-Africa shows have been designed as a range of interchangeable segment modules that cycle through the season. This will allow for a range of topics to be fully explored with the prospect of becoming potential spin-off programs should the viewers show interest in them. Both seasons are designed to be highly engaging and interactive with rich Internet and mobile components tied in to encourage social media networking and viewer content development.

Planet X-Africa is intended to become a Living Encyclopedia “ENCYCLOMEDIA” of Extreme and Alternative Action Sports. It’s all about the journey and how and where you file the shared experiences.
